How do you manage policy standardization with Mergers & Acquisitions?
We meet with policy owners and review the goal to standardize. First, we upload their policies in PolicyStat and then compare to standard division-wide/company wide policies. We identify policies that can easily be retired in favor of the company standard and set priorities/timelines for the remaining policies. It can be a fairly long process depending on variables such as number of documents, competing priorities, leadership support, etc.
